Engineering and Operations Leadership Development Program | Gemini, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time, on-site role at Gemini, Inc., located in Taylor, TX and Decorah, IA. Gemini is a leader in the signage manufacturing industry, providing stable employment and innovative products to its customers since 1963. This program is designed to cultivate future leaders by providing hands-on experience across key engineering and operations functions. You will join a positive, people-first culture dedicated to leveraging team strengths to bring unique signage products to life.

• Mission: Develop future leaders in engineering and operations to deeply understand Gemini products, customer needs, and business operations through structured rotational assignments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engineering: Perform functional engineering work in a manufacturing setting, supporting daily production by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvement initiatives.
• Efficiency: Apply lean manufacturing techniques and time/motion studies to optimize processes, reduce costs through Value Analysis/Value Engineering, and improve labor utilization.
• Team Leadership: Directly lead teams of hourly production members, overseeing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance in partnership with plant management.
• Improvement Initiatives: Lead continuous improvement Kaizen events and cross-functional initiatives to drive productivity and efficiency gains across production areas.
• Strategic Management: Manage performance across multiple production lines or departments, developing and executing plans to improve key performance indicators and participate in strategic planning.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with high academic performance in business administration, mechanical or industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-3 years of professional experience in engineering, operations, or related roles, including leadership experience in teams, projects, or student organizations.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, high technical aptitude, excellent communication skills (active listening, presentation, verbal, and written), and highly collaborative work style.
• Bonus: Internship/Co-op experience in engineering or operations is highly valued, along with a strong interest in Engineering and Operations Leadership.
