Manufacturing Analyst | BRP

The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at BRP, headquartered in Valcourt, Quebec. BRP is a world leader in recreational vehicles and boats, creating innovative ways to move across various terrains. This role is crucial for contributing to strategic decisions, optimizing financial performance, and driving operational efficiency within the manufacturing division through insightful analysis and creative problem-solving.

• Team: Reports to the department manager, working within a collaborative team focused on member development.
• Mission: To leverage creativity and analytical ability to synthesize information for strategic decision-making, cost tracking, and the development of efficient reporting and solutions.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office, SAP, Google Workspace, SQL, VBA, Power BI, Tableau.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and consolidate financial presentations to inform senior management on strategic decisions, monthly results, and budget performance.
• Strategic Analysis: Develop comprehensive business cases to support corporate decision-making and strategic directions, including make-or-buy scenarios.
• Project Cost Management: Support project teams by tracking costs for various initiatives and providing justifications for any variances.
• Decision Support & Innovative Solutions: Offer analytical support to aid in decision-making for major organizational projects and propose innovative solutions to meet division team needs.
• Automation & Training: Develop automation and access to reports, ensure existing tools run smoothly, and coach team members to build expertise.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Experience: Demonstrated excellent understanding of data sources.
• Skills: Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and common computer software (Microsoft Office, SAP, Google Workspace); strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a synthesizing mindset; strong communication skills, teamwork, and client relationship management; essential bilingualism.
• Bonus: Knowledge of SQL and VBA; knowledge of BI tools, especially Power BI and Tableau; demonstrated leadership qualities.
