The Tone:
This is a hybrid full-time role at Motorola Solutions, located in Glasgow, United Kingdom. This role is crucial to the ‘International Mobile Applications’ organization, which creates mission-critical software solutions for emergency first responders globally, directly impacting the effectiveness of police officers, firefighters, and paramedics. Your work will contribute to a safer future by enhancing the capabilities of public safety agencies, particularly serving UK Police forces with the ‘Pronto’ mobile app.

• Team: Leads a cross-functional squad of Technical Project Managers, Software Engineers, and Test Engineers, and line manages other Project Managers.
• Mission: Drives Agile delivery standards for customer solutions, facilitates iterative execution, sets product delivery strategy, and acts as the outward-facing lead for Motorola Solutions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Iterative Delivery: Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technical solutions using Agile frameworks, facilitating core ceremonies to ensure predictable and high-velocity output.
• Agile Governance: Collaborate with the cross-functional squad and key customer stakeholders to prioritize user stories, manage backlog health, eliminate delivery blockers, and maintain clear visibility on team velocity and release roadmaps.
• Artifact Management: Oversee project and delivery plans, definition of done, sprint goals, release plans, budget tracking, and post-launch value realization reports.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders, translating complex technical software concepts into business value while transparently communicating progress, iteration velocity, and release timelines.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify issues that could arise within the project, such as technical dependencies, adoption of the design solution, budget constraints, and resourcing challenges.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a BSc/BA degree or equivalent commercial project management experience, focusing on senior-level leadership in commercial software delivery.
• Experience: Possesses 7+ years of experience managing commercial software delivery in complex, delivery-driven environments using Agile methodologies, including leading cross-functional squads and line-managing team members. Must meet NPPV3 security clearance requirements, which necessitates a minimum of 3 years of continuous UK residency.
• Skills: Expert written and verbal communication skills with a focus on client relationship management and expectations alignment, proven expertise in leading cross-functional delivery squads, managing backlog refinement, and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
• Bonus: A BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical/management degree; Agile Certifications such as Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist certification; proven experience leading, coaching, and motivating remote or hybrid delivery teams; or background or familiarity with Azure DevOps and / or software delivery.
