DPS – Museum Ops Support, Finance | All Aviation Jobs

The Tone:
This is a part-time position supporting financial operations at Delta Professional Services, located in Atlanta, GA. Delta Professional Services (DPS) supports the Delta Flight Museum, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving aviation history and operating as a unique cultural institution. This role contributes directly to the financial analysis and reporting functions of the museum and its event operations. It offers a unique opportunity for an individual to gain direct exposure to executive-level financial decision-making in a nonprofit cultural institution setting.

• Mission: To assist the CFO and finance team with financial analysis, reporting, and cross-departmental projects within a museum and event operations environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Assist with financial reporting and reconciliation across QuickBooks and Veevart.
• Revenue Optimization: Support yield optimization analysis for corporate events and rentals, including pricing and ancillary revenue.
• Executive Presentations: Help prepare materials for Board of Directors meetings and executive presentations.
• Data Analysis: Track and analyze ticket and revenue data for museum attractions.
• Vendor Coordination: Assist with vendor and payroll coordination, including liaison support with external providers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Rising Junior or Senior standing preferred, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency, with authorization to work in the United States.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic modeling), strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail and accuracy, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
• Bonus: Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting/ERP software, and familiarity with Salesforce-based platforms (e.g., Veevart).
