Early Career Financial Operations Specialist, Onsite | Sandia National Laboratories

You will collaborate with teams to add value, improve operations, and manage risk for the corporation.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $74700–$144400 yearly
• Team: Mission Services Talent Acquisition Team, supporting Labs operations.
• Mission: Oversee financial matters, ensuring adherence to federal requirements, advising management, developing solutions, analyzing data, and improving risk controls to support the laboratory’s mission and efficiency.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Entries: Post general ledger and sub ledger entries accurately.
• Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports to support informed decision-making.
• Controls: Carry out internal controls activities to maintain financial integrity.
• Support: Support forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Accounting, Finance, or a relevant discipline.
• Experience: Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
• Skills: Knowledge of Finance and Accounting Principles (GAAP, CAS, governmental financial accounting), knowledge of moderately complex accounting and financial analyses, data analytics and data literacy skills, Microsoft Excel skills.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in Business Administration, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
