Junior Accountant – Trophy Signature Homes | Green Brick Partners, Inc.
The Tone:

This role is crucial for maintaining timely and accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and assisting with financial statement reporting. What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare and record various journal entries, including recurring, non-recurring, closing, remote check deposit, and customer wire deposit entries.
• Maintain accurate trackers and ensure proper payments for Homeowners Association (HOA) fees and property taxes.
• Reconcile the bank accounts daily for all Trophy divisions to ensure financial accuracy.
• Code and process corporate credit cards, research and resolve accounting problems like outstanding checks or duplicate invoices, and correspond with vendors regarding invoice or payment issues.
• Assist in the vendor setup process, code invoices to ensure proper approval, and support the monthly close process and audit activities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Possesses a High School Diploma, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience: 1-2 years of accounting or administrative experience, with demonstrated computer proficiency.
• Skills: Ability to meet multiple deadlines consistently, highly analytical thinking, and strong critical thinking abilities.
• Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, paired with effective organizational capabilities.
• Bonus: An Accounting degree is preferred.
