What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Return Preparation: Assist in preparing federal, state, and international income tax returns and supporting workpapers.
• Provision Calculations: Help with quarterly tax provision calculations (ASC 740), including identifying and reconciling book-to-tax differences.
• Data Analysis: Prepare and analyze tax data to support both compliance efforts and financial reporting requirements.
• Audit Support: Support responses to tax notices and information requests received during audits.
• Efficiency Improvement: Utilize digital tools to improve data accuracy, consistency, and the efficiency of reporting processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or IT, with foundational knowledge of taxation and accounting principles.
• Experience: No specific years required; 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred. Must be able to work full time and maintain student standing during the co-op/internship.
• Skills: Foundational knowledge of taxation and accounting principles, basic computer skills, and experience working effectively in a team environment.
• Bonus: Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and reporting tools. Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required, and effective verbal communication skills are a plus.
