• Mission: This person will learn and perform audit procedures to assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements for clients.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Procedures: Learn and perform audit procedures to assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, examining records and transactions.
• Internal Control Assessment: Assist in evaluating and testing the effectiveness of clients’ internal control systems, collaborating with team members.
• Client Relationship Management: Build relationships with clients, respond to inquiries, and proactively develop ways to better serve their needs.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements and related disclosures to identify material misstatements or discrepancies and initiate corrective actions.
• Skill Development: Continuously develop auditing skills and knowledge through training and staying current with accounting and auditing standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Experience: Entry-level experience in accounting with foundational knowledge of GAAP and GAAS. Close to meeting or has met the unit requirements to sit for the CPA exam.
• Skills: Foundational knowledge of GAAP and GAAS; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work effectively in a team environment to deliver quality results.
• Bonus: Demonstrated interest in pursuing or obtaining CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Educational Licensure Requirements.
