Component Global Supply Manager | Lenovo

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Lenovo, located in USA (North Carolina). This role is critical for ensuring the continuous global supply of components, managing supplier performance, optimizing inventory, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support Lenovo’s world-changing innovation and product delivery.

The TL;DR

• Mission: This role is responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient global supply of components, managing supplier performance, and optimizing inventory levels to meet production demands.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Supply Chain Analytics: Analyze and measure supply continuity using forecast tools and daily BSR to ensure operational stability and make recommendations for supply rebalancing.
• Daily Supply Operations: Update daily supply data for extended assessment of coverage and ensure compliance of site buyers with all purchase order instructions.
• Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and ensure that suppliers are consistently meeting quoted lead times, with the ability to expedite and escalate issues as appropriate to prevent disruptions.
• Inventory and New Product Management: Manage inventory levels to remain consistent with the days of supply buffer plan and provide aid in new product introductions where required.
• Risk Communication: Proactively keep management informed and aware of any situations where supply falls short of requirements or expectations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in supply chain, commodity, purchasing, sourcing, or related fields.
• Skills: Organization skills, analytical skills, and supplier relationship management.
• Bonus: Experience working for a global company, understanding the complexities of managing a global organization, and flexibility to accommodate time zone differences.
