Internship Markets Compliance Support Officer | Erste Group Bank AG
The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Erste Group Bank AG, offering a hybrid work arrangement (home and office) starting in January 2027. Erste Group was founded in 1819 as the first Austrian savings bank and is today one of the largest stock-listed banking groups in Central Europe. The Markets Compliance Department is primarily responsible for the prevention and detection of insider trading and market manipulation, and this role provides essential support to ensure adherence to crucial regulations.
The TL;DR

• Pay: EUR 2,745.32 gross per month (full-time equivalent)
• Team: Markets Compliance Department, working with a team of experts in Securities Supervision Act (WAG).
• Mission: Support experts in maintaining compliance monitoring and preventing market misconduct within Erste Group.
• Tech Stack: Power Automate, AI
What You’ll Actually Do
• Monitoring Support: Support experts in maintaining the compliance monitoring system to prevent and detect insider trading and market manipulation.
• Regulatory Documentation: Document the adherence to compliance regulations within Erste Group.
• Data Management: Maintain and update watch and restricted lists, perform data management and data analysis.
• Workflow Automation: Create and maintain Power Automate Workflows.
• Infrastructure Modernization: Implement AI used cases and modernize reporting infrastructure.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Ongoing studies at University/University of Applied Sciences with a background in IT and/or business focus.
• Experience: No specific years required. Reliable and independent working with systems.
• Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills; initiative, planning and organizational skills; quick grasp and structured working style; excellent English skills.
• Bonus: CEE language is an advantage.
