What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Testing: Complete comprehensive audit testing on financial statement accounts, including key areas such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
• Client Collaboration: Collaborate with client personnel to effectively reconcile account differences and thoroughly analyze financial data.
• Report Drafting: Actively assist in drafting crucial management letter comments and the final audit report for client deliverables.
• Meeting Participation: Participate directly in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers, gaining valuable insights.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level associate position requiring a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting. Candidates must be pursuing the educational requirements to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state where the office is located, with 150 required academic credits met prior to the start date. A solid technical accounting knowledge base is essential.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Candidates must also have reliable transportation to and from the assigned office and be able to attend off-site client meetings and events in person.
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary, alongside effective time management, a close attention to detail, and a problem-solving attitude. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, and manage work under pressure against deadlines, is also key.
• Bonus: Prior internships in a public accounting firm, specifically performing audit work, are preferred.
