What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Duties: Perform duties typically assigned to entry-level accountants, gaining practical experience in a corporate setting.
• Principle Application: Apply general accounting and tax concepts to daily, monthly, and quarterly assignments.
• Financial Support: Prepare and post journal entries; assist with general ledger reconciliations and account analysis.
• Reporting Assistance: Support the preparation, review, and distribution of financial statements, management reports, or tax returns.
• Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current full-time college student (Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related disciplines.
• Experience: Application of technical skills acquired in college to real-world scenarios.
• Skills: Advanced computer proficiency with the ability to optimize and automate processes, effective problem-solving abilities, and curiosity to explore AI, data, and technology.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, and knowledge of oil and gas industry practices is a plus.
