What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate: Partner with product owners and fellow engineers on the I Buy I Sell – Third Party Integrations team to resolve technical challenges and maintain quality as new technologies are built for customers and partners.
• Develop: Manage the end-to-end development of software products, analyzing issues at the system level and implementing effective solutions for any complications.
• Lead: Document and lead the implementation of new technical features, continuous improvements, and innovative solutions.
• Optimize: Utilize a proactive mindset to continually seek and implement ways to improve performance, quality, and efficiency beyond initial problem fixes.
• Design: Translate client requirements into robust and effective technical designs for software products.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience, with a solid background in business operations and strategies, focusing on business IT.
• Experience: A minimum of five years of software engineering experience, including building AWS Cloud Native components, designing scalable APIs (with OpenAPI Initiative familiarity), and a history of translating client requirements into technical designs.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in software engineering languages and tools, including Java and RESTful services, spanning horizontal and vertical packages. This includes practical experience with Javascript, Typescript, Node.JS, SpringBoot, XML transformation, service orchestration, and AWS Cloud implementations. Possess agile engineering capabilities, a design-thinking mindset, and a thorough grasp of IT concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture, technical standards, shared software concepts, and layered solutions and designs. Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to clearly explain decision-making processes to non-engineers, alongside collaboration, adaptability, flexibility, and the capacity to manage time and prioritize work effectively within a globally distributed development team.
• Bonus: Working knowledge of ACORD standards (XML or Next Gen Digital Standards) and experience with C#/.NET.
