Deal Origination Analyst | Everis

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Everis, located remotely in the United States or Canada, requiring availability during North American business hours. Everis is an AI-native business group, founded by successful technology entrepreneurs, focused on acquiring small internet businesses and apps, improving them, and operating them for the long term. This early-career analyst position is crucial for building the pipeline of potential acquisition targets, directly impacting the company’s growth strategy by finding and qualifying strong deal opportunities. You will have direct exposure to acquisition strategy, learning what makes a business attractive and why owners sell, while growing into broader acquisition responsibilities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Broker Relationships: Find and cultivate strong relationships with relevant brokers, advisers, marketplaces, and other deal sources, maintaining regular contact to understand upcoming opportunities.
• Owner Outreach: Construct targeted lists of businesses and owners that align with Everis’s acquisition criteria, then conduct thoughtful outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to engage decision-makers.
• Opportunity Qualification: Understand each business’s operations, revenue generation, and customer base, gathering high-level information on financials, growth, and owner motivation to assess fit and prepare initial opportunity briefs.
• Pipeline Management: Accurately maintain the acquisition CRM with detailed contacts, notes, financial snippets, and follow-up dates, tracking funnel progression and providing concise weekly reports.
• Process Improvement: Utilize evidence-based insights and modern AI tools to continuously refine research, outreach strategies, recordkeeping, and overall sourcing methods that yield the highest quality opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Possess a smart and curious nature, with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar businesses and apply basic financial and commercial literacy, or demonstrate a strong capacity to learn these quickly. Maintain high integrity and care when handling confidential information.
• Experience: Zero to three years of professional experience are required.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent spoken and written communication, enabling credible interaction with experienced brokers and owners without relying on finance jargon. Be comfortable with cold calls, outbound messages, handling rejection, and consistent follow-up. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, reliability with accurate notes, and robust follow-through.
• Bonus: Relevant sourcing, sales, research, brokerage, consulting, or entrepreneurial experience is considered useful but not strictly required.
