The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Hilton, located at its corporate office in Memphis, TN. As a Staff Accountant, you will join a critical Finance Team that manages global financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management activities. Your contributions will be essential in completing monthly closing and post-closing tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for US Hotel Accounting.

• Mission: To complete monthly closing and post-closing activities for US Hotel Accounting, ensuring accurate financial performance reporting.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Closing Activities: Perform end-of-month closing and post-closing activities for US Hotel Accounting.
• Reconciliations: Assist in completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Transactions: Process wire transfers and compile supporting data and documentation for journal entries.
• External Collaboration: Partner with third-party service providers, such as outsourcing providers and auditors, to ensure all important information is captured.
• Process Understanding: Support various accounting tasks to gain an understanding of financial processes and aid in career development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Knowledge of business mathematics, including calculating percentage changes and averages/weighted averages.
• Experience: One (1) year of work experience or internship in a corporate or business environment.
• Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including understanding and manipulating spreadsheets.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; one (1) year of relevant analytical, accounting, or finance work experience.
