• Mission: Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures to support client engagements and develop technical competency in GAAP.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Support: Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive, and professional manner.
• Information Gathering: Work with clients to gather necessary information for the completion of required documents and respond to inquiries.
• Process Improvement: Proactively identify improvement opportunities in processes to enhance efficiency using data analysis skills.
• Audit Execution: Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures in accordance with firm and professional standards, as directed by engagement leaders.
• Reporting: Prepare or review client-prepared financial statements, footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; completion of a corporate or individual taxation class is required.
• Experience: Above average knowledge in accounting, demonstrated by a college GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred. Must be working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.
• Skills: Ability to think independently and make good decisions based on education and experience, possess good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and staff, and the ability to prioritize work, follow through on requests, take initiative, and meet deadlines. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire; Wipfli will not consider candidates requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
• Bonus: Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
