• Team: Part of the Risk Transaction Approval & Advice (TA&A) Portfolio team within ING Domestic Bank, responsible for assessing credit applications from business banking customers with financing up to EUR 5 million. The team consists of 12 Financial Risk Officers.
• Mission: To make an impact on the quality of credit decisions and contribute to the further development of data-driven decision-making within ING.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Credit Assessment: Evaluate and approve credit proposals within your independent risk management mandate.
• Stakeholder Advice: Advise stakeholders on credit risks, financing structures, and appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Project Representation: Represent Risk TA&A in projects focused on data-driven and automated credit decision-making.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Business Advisors, Relationship Managers, Lending Specialists, Product Owners, Customer Journey Experts, and Business CRM.
• Model Enhancement: Provide practical insights that contribute to the further development of credit models and automated decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Higher vocational (HBO) or university (WO) level of working and thinking ability. Experience within credit risk management or commercial banking services.
• Experience: Proven ability to effectively apply experience in complex issues, and familiarity with change or improvement initiatives.
• Skills: Analytical thinking combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach; interest in data, automation, and efficiency; clear and persuasive communication to substantiate risk assessments and build consensus; ownership and comfort in independent decision-making; ability to connect diverse stakeholders.
