Undergrad Intern – Finance (Summer 2027) | Amgen

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Amgen, located in the United States. The TL;DR

• Team: Interns will be placed on a team with potential placements in Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Accounting, Tax, Corporate Audit, and Corporate Services.
• Mission: This intern will apply analytical and financial skills to meaningful projects, supporting Amgen’s strategic and tactical goals within the biotechnology industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop highly differentiated technical and financial skills by tackling a challenging project and preparing a presentation for the greater finance organization.
• Gain a deep understanding of your functional team and how it contributes to Amgen’s success.
• Collaborate with fellow interns in a week-long multidisciplinary case study competition.
• Work with financial and operational data to identify trends, develop insights, and communicate recommendations to business partners.
• Explore opportunities to use data, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to improve financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, controls, and decision-making.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university, having completed one year of study prior to the internship and expected to continue enrollment afterward.
• Experience: Must be 18 years or older. Available to work a full-time schedule. Available to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028, if offered.
• Skills: 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent. Ability to demonstrate an understanding of basic financial analytical principles. Effective communication and organizational skills. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Bonus: Concentration in Economics, Business Administration, Biotechnology Management, Accounting or Finance. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Prior work experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Strong team mentality and ability to collaborate effectively.
