Pathfinder Manager Trainee Program | Riverstone Logistics

The Tone:
This is a full-time, 12-month rotational management trainee program at Riverstone Logistics, located across the United States with its headquarters in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Riverstone Logistics is a committed freight forwarding partner, specializing in final mile deliveries for various clients across the United States. This Pathfinder program is crucial for developing future operations leaders who will enhance customer experience, serve communities, and improve the logistics industry.

The TL;DR
• Role: Management Trainee (Pathfinder)
• Type: Full-time, 12-month rotational program
• Location: In-person, primarily at Profit Centers across the United States (headquarters in Rock Hill, SC)
• Team: Reports to senior leaders and mentors; eventually lands at a Profit Center
• Mission: Develop future operations leaders to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability in final mile deliveries
• Tech Stack: MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Participation: Participate in a structured rotational training program across different departments such as Operations, Brokerage, Finance, and Customer Service.
• Operations Management: Learn and oversee core 3PL operations, including warehousing, distribution, inventory management, freight brokerage, and last-mile delivery.
• Business Improvement: Gain hands-on experience by working on real business projects and problem-solving initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Culture & Compliance: Drive company culture, purpose, and core beliefs through hands-on training and collaboration, while supporting leaders in enforcing compliance and client quality standards.
• Logistics Execution: Manage and perform activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation to ensure distribution services are executed in a timely manner.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level; High school diploma or GED required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: An emerging leader eager for hands-on learning to understand the business from the ground up, with a desire to build a long-term career in operations or a related field.
• Skills: Ability to prioritize and organize work, strong follow-up, analytical, problem-solving, and sound decision-making skills, effective verbal and written communication, proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Bonus: Open to relocation, travel, and new experiences, with a solutions-oriented mindset that thrives in changing environments and navigates ambiguity.
