Tax Intern – Summer 2027 | Tokio Marine HCC

The Tone:
This is a temporary, in-office summer internship at Tokio Marine HCC, located in Houston, Texas, with a hybrid work schedule. Tokio Marine HCC is a leading global specialty insurance group, offering over 100 classes of insurance from crops to concerts. This role is critical for providing direct support to the Tax team, enabling the intern to learn essential functions and contribute to daily operations within a large insurance organization.

• Team: Reports to Tax Supervisor
• Mission: To learn, shadow, and provide essential support to the Tax team under immediate supervision.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Inquiries: Respond to various employee inquiries as needed.
• Projects: Perform assigned project work to support team initiatives.
• Administration: Organize and manage administrative activities for the team.
• Procurement: Potentially approve and order necessary supplies or licenses.
• Content Management: Potentially draft and distribute monthly articles to employees and field representatives, and update/post content to business unit/department websites or SharePoint sites.
• Analysis: Potentially analyze data and create informational presentations for management meetings.
• Program Participation: Actively participate in the Internship Enrichment Program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Minimum of 60 completed hours from an accredited college or university with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required for this role.
• Skills: Possess and have the ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures. Good written communication skills for various tasks. Good verbal communication skills for team and employee interactions.
