Federal Tax Services Intern – Winter 2027 | RSM US LLP

The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Collaboration: Work on a team focusing on a wide range of tax specialty areas including corporate, individual, and pass-through entity taxation, as well as accounting for income taxes and federal credits.
• Tax Planning and Research: Complete essential tax planning and research tasks.
• Return Preparation: Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Regulatory Understanding: Develop an understanding of tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Working towards a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university, with an Accounting Major. Must have completed 90 credit hours.
• Experience: Travel to assigned client locations is required, with access to and ability to arrange for reliable modes of transportation. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, are necessary.
• Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively on a team and multitask.
• Bonus: A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
