Finance Intern | La-Z-Boy Incorporated
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at La-Z-Boy Incorporated, located in Monroe, MI, operating under a hybrid work model. La-Z-Boy is a world-leading producer of residential furniture, known for marketing furniture for every room of the home and transforming comfort every day. This Finance Intern role is crucial for supporting the Finance Department at the company’s World HQ, providing a practical, hands-on experience to develop business acumen and understanding of La-Z-Boy’s strategies and processes. The intern will contribute to financial projects and gain insights into various company processes, ultimately supporting the company’s mission of creating lasting relationships and leveraging expertise in comfort to improve homes and communities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Support: Support the Finance Department by participating in various projects related to Finance.
• Business Acumen Development: Acquire and develop overall business acumen and knowledge of La-Z-Boy business strategy.
• Process Engagement: Obtain hands-on experience in a variety of different processes throughout the company.
• Professional Interaction: Regularly interact with the senior leadership team and all levels of the corporate organization.
• Internship Presentation: Present accomplishments and feedback on the internship experience to leaders and other interns at the end of the season.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor’s degree program focused on Finance with 2-3 years completed.
• Experience: No specific years beyond degree completion, but strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is a must.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and organizational skills; ability to work in a team-based environment as well as individually; accuracy and attention to detail; and ability to deal with highly sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Bonus: Ability to travel may be required.
