Onboarding Coordinator | Fortrex

The Tone:
This is a hybrid role, combining time at Fortrex’s Corporate Headquarters in Atlanta, GA, with remote work. Fortrex is a leader in food safety solutions, providing contract sanitation and chemistry for the food processing industry, with over 10,000 team members across North America. This Onboarding Coordinator position is essential for creating a welcoming and efficient initial experience for new hires. You will be a crucial link, ensuring a smooth integration for new team members and establishing initial compliance safeguards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Management: Oversee the entire new hire onboarding journey, ensuring a positive experience for new team members and keeping hiring managers informed.
• Documentation Audit: Audit onboarding documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
• Eligibility Evaluation: Assess candidate eligibility by conducting and analyzing background checks, E-Verify, and SSNVS results.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate new hire data within the HRIS, ensuring compliance with both company and legal standards.
• Reporting: Generate and distribute reports on onboarding progress, performance, and key performance indicators.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, alongside foundational knowledge in human resources or office administration gained through prior work experience.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of experience in an HR or office administrative position, with a preference for backgrounds in onboarding or team member services. Demonstrated proficiency in using HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe products is essential.
• Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities are required, coupled with meticulous attention to detail. Professional communication skills, both written and oral, are key for interacting with various partners. A steadfast commitment to maintaining confidentiality is also critical for this role.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis on human resources, or equivalent relevant work experience. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, covering both written and verbal communication, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate initiative, thrive in a high-volume work environment, and possess prior experience in onboarding within a growing organization.
