Sr. SAP HCM Migration Consultant (Hands-On L3 Configuration) | ADP

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at ADP, supporting the large-scale GlobalView to RISE / S/4HANA migration program, which represents one of the largest SAP Payroll transformations globally. This position operates in a critical Tier 3 / L3 capacity, requiring deep, hands-on expertise in SAP HCM configuration, payroll, and complex production issue resolution. It is explicitly not a coordination or ticket-routing role; consultants are expected to independently diagnose issues, implement configuration fixes, and understand system behavior at a technical-functional level.

What You’ll Actually Do
• L3 Production Support: Troubleshoot complex SAP HCM issues without escalation, perform root cause analysis across Payroll, Personnel Administration, and Organizational Management, and analyze logs, tables, and system behavior to identify true system defects versus configuration gaps.
• Hands-On Configuration: Execute configuration in SPRO, maintain and adjust Infotypes, enterprise structure, and payroll elements when applicable, and validate fixes through end-to-end system testing.
• Migration Execution: Execute structured and repeatable migration tasks with precision, performing data validation, system checks, and pre/post migration activities, and identifying and resolving inconsistencies across environments.
• ABAP Debugging & Technical Awareness: Read and debug ABAP code to support issue analysis, use debugging tools to trace payroll and HCM processing logic, identify whether issues are configuration or code-related, and perform initial diagnosis without relying on ABAP teams.
• Technical Analysis & Collaboration: Analyze SAP Notes, support packs, and enhancements to determine root causes, and work closely with functional, technical, and migration factory teams, communicating clearly with both technical and business stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with deep expertise in SAP HCM configuration, payroll, and complex production issue resolution.
• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on SAP HCM configuration experience and proven experience in L3/Tier 3 support.
• Skills: Strong ability to perform root cause analysis independently, extensive experience working in SPRO/customizing, the ability to differentiate between configuration and code issues, and the ability to read and debug ABAP code for issue analysis.
