Finance Account Analyst | Medpace

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Medpace, located in Cincinnati, OH. Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization with over 6,500 employees across 40+ countries, focused on accelerating the global development of safe and effective medical therapeutics. In this position, you will partner directly with clients and Medpace internal staff to develop project financial budgets and new business proposals. This role is crucial for ensuring strategic budget development meets both client needs and Medpace objectives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Development: Develop fee estimates for requests for proposals, budget revisions, and contract amendments.
• Coordination: Provide financial input for responses to requests for information, ensuring coordination with other relevant Medpace personnel.
• Client Communication: Communicate with Medpace customers regarding ongoing projects to ensure their expectations are met.
• Performance Tracking: Maintain and track ongoing project performance against budget, notifying internal and external clients of potential issues or changes.
• Contract Management: Generate and initiate processing of new contracts, monitoring and reporting on changes in scope, milestone invoicing, and modifications.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Experience: 0-4 years of experience in the conduct of clinical research and/or contract management/pricing.
• Skills: Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting processes; excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills; and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: Basic knowledge of medical terminology and a working knowledge of drug development services.
