Accounting Manager in Training | Canteen North America
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Canteen North America, located in Altamonte Springs, FL. This Accounting Manager in Training position is essential for supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of the district by managing critical accounting, HR, and administrative functions.

• Mission: This person will be responsible for overseeing daily HR and financial operations, managing period close processes, ensuring general ledger accuracy, and contributing to financial analysis and internal control maintenance within the district.

What You’ll Actually Do
• HR Operations: Handle day-to-day HR issues including payroll, benefit administration, training, FMLA/Worker’s Comp issues, and regulatory compliance staffing.
• Cash & Banking: Manage the cash room and coordinate banking and armorer car services.
• Core Accounting: Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes and ensure the general ledger is accurately represented.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the production of weekly reporting and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Financial Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial statements for profit improvement, recommend action, and assist with forecast and budget modeling while evaluating what-if scenarios.
• Control & Audit: Maintain internal controls within District operation and interact with internal and external auditors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Management.
• Experience: Five to seven years of total experience, including Staff Accountant experience.
• Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) and SAP; ability to track and measure financial data and communicate information up and down.
• Bonus: A minimum of five years of financial management experience.
