Reinsurance Accounting & Claims Handling Analyst | Munich Re
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Munich Re America Services, located in Princeton, NJ. Munich Re America Services is a shared service organization providing essential support to US P&C Companies and other group entities, contributing to the financial strength of a leading global insurance and reinsurance brand. The analyst plays a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely financial recording of client contract, premium, and loss information. This role contributes to building a culture that helps create solutions for business units and clients.

• Mission: This person is responsible for the timely and accurate recording of client contract, premium, and loss related information into the Company’s global reinsurance systems.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Recording: Record client account statements in a timely and accurate manner.
• Resolution: Investigate and resolve open payable/receivable balances and research and reconcile accounting matters related to statements of account.
• Processing: Process payment transactions (incoming and outgoing) in accordance with contract terms.
• Data Management: Accurately capture terms and conditions into global systems with guidance, and resolve quality assurance tasks or questions.
• Participation: Participate in the quarter close process and assist in projects when needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Bookkeeping and/or accounting experience.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, solid math and analytic skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required) for data manipulation and analysis, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
