What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger Management: Prepare and accurately post general ledger journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded and maintained for comprehensive financial reporting.
• Month-End Close Operations: Execute crucial month-end accounting processes, including processing entries, performing eliminations, and managing allocations, to facilitate a timely and precise financial close for each period.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Systematically prepare, meticulously document, and critically analyze balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to uphold the integrity and accuracy of financial accounts.
• Process Optimization: Drive improvements in accounting operations by developing and implementing refined procedures, achieved through a thorough analysis of existing processes and recommending strategic changes for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
• Compliance and Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with the management team to ensure strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all applicable statutory accounting principles, contributing to robust financial governance.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting or Finance, providing a foundational understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Experience: Possess a minimum of two years of professional accounting experience gained within an environment strictly adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Skills: Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, specifically utilizing functions such as pivot tables and v-lookups for data analysis and reporting; exhibit a proactive approach with the ability to independently identify problems and financial discrepancies; possess strong analytical capabilities to conduct independent research, analyze root causes of issues, and formulate effective corrective actions.
• Bonus: Prior experience obtained in public accounting is highly desired; preference will be given to candidates demonstrating great tenure at a company actively engaged in international business operations.
