Clean Energy Rotation Program (Entry-Level) | Renewable Careers

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Renewable Careers, located in New York, NY (hybrid). The company develops, builds, owns, and operates utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects across the United States. This two-year program is designed to develop the next generation of leaders, providing a comprehensive understanding of the entire clean energy business before individuals specialize. The role is critical for building the people who will lead the work of developing and operating America’s clean energy infrastructure in the years to come.

The TL;DR

• Mission: This role provides early-career professionals a complete understanding of the clean energy business to identify their specialization and accelerate their career.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operate as a full member across three core teams (Development, Engineering & Construction, Finance & Asset Management), taking ownership of real deliverables.
• Contribute to live clean energy projects by conducting analysis, building models, preparing applications, performing technical reviews, and participating in site visits.
• Present findings and project work to senior leadership at the conclusion of each eight-month rotation.
• Learn directly from experienced developers, engineers, and financiers, supported by a dedicated mentor throughout the program.
• Cultivate cross-functional fluency and a company-wide perspective essential for career advancement in the clean energy industry.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, economics, finance, business, or a related field; Entry-Level career experience; demonstrated interest in clean energy and the transition to a decarbonized grid.
• Experience: No prior energy experience is required; authorization to work in the United States.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, comfort with data and spreadsheets, clear communication, and adaptability to new teams, problems, and learning curves.
• Bonus: Internships, research, or campus involvement that demonstrate initiative.
