The Tone:
This is a full-time Senior Officer role at IQ-EQ, located in India (Telangana) – Hyderabad. IQ-EQ is a leading global provider of financial reporting services for private equity, hedge fund, real estate, and other alternative investment clients. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality financial reporting services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service within a complex regulatory landscape. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting Preparation: Prepare and review complex financial statements, disclosures, NAV packs, and other reporting deliverables for alternative investment structures across IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, and Canadian GAAP.
• Client Deliverable Leadership: Lead the timely and accurate delivery of client reporting requirements, coordinating with onshore teams and stakeholders, and resolving queries from clients, auditors, and directors.
• Team Management and Development: Manage, coach, and develop team members by providing technical and non-technical guidance, reviewing work outputs, monitoring performance, and supporting learning initiatives.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee workflow planning, resource allocation, timesheet and overtime approvals, review processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Risk and Compliance Champion: Champion risk management and compliance by ensuring adherence to SSAE and client-specific requirements, maintaining strong knowledge of client agreements, and escalating issues appropriately.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline, with at least 6 years of accounting experience.
• Experience: At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role, with proven experience managing client deliverables, service operations, and team performance, including staff development and appraisal processes. Strong hands-on experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and disclosures for alternative investment structures across multiple GAAP frameworks.
• Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and IF functions), and experience using accounting platforms such as Investran or Paxus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
• Bonus: Ideally hold or be working towards a professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA. Experience in financial services, shared services, or multinational environments is a plus, with flexibility for travel and international secondment opportunities.
