Senior Manager, IT Product Management | Marqeta

The Tone:
This is a leadership role at Marqeta, available remotely within the United States. Marqeta provides a flexible card issuing platform, enabling embedded finance solutions for major brands in the new economy. This position is vital for connecting internal technology capabilities with business requirements, ensuring that Marqeta’s internal systems are managed with product discipline and effectively adopted across the organization. You will lead two critical functions to bring structure, strategic alignment, and operational excellence to Marqeta’s internal technology landscape.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: Remote
• Pay: $157100–$196400 yearly
• Team: Manages Business Technology Product Managers and Asset Management Lead/Specialists, reporting to the Head of Business Technology.
• Mission: To bridge the gap between Business Technology capabilities and business needs by ensuring internal technology systems are managed with product rigor and adopted effectively.
• Tech Stack: ERP, CRM, HRIS, ITSM/ITAM platforms.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and prioritized roadmap for internal business applications and enterprise systems.
• Demand Management: Design and lead the Plan and Commit process with business stakeholders for all Business Technology requests, prioritizing projects based on strategic alignment and ROI.
• Organizational Change Management: Define and maintain a standardized Organizational Change Management playbook and governance for all Business Technology-led initiatives.
• IT Product Delivery: Oversee QA and UAT processes, own the Business Technology release calendar, and establish hypercare programs for major system go-lives.
• SaaS Sprawl Management: Lead and govern the end-to-end software asset lifecycle management program, driving cost reduction and optimization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior Manager level in IT/business systems product management, with successful career progression into product leadership.
• Experience: 10+ years in IT/business systems product management, with 5+ years in people management, demonstrating end-to-end product strategy and delivery for enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, Enterprise AI, or similar).
• Skills: Strong understanding of SaaS governance, software asset management, IT financial management, and the ability to define and execute an Enterprise AI strategy.
• Bonus: Experience at a high-growth technology company, familiarity with ITAM frameworks, and experience with ARB processes or enterprise architecture governance.
