What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger: Record routine journal entries and help keep the general ledger accurate and up to date.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts by researching discrepancies and resolving variances.
• Month-End Close: Support month-end accounting activities by organizing financial data and assisting with closing tasks.
• Transaction Processing: Process incoming and outgoing transactions related to accounts payable and accounts receivable with close attention to accuracy.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare supporting schedules and assist in the development of internal financial reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; suitable for entry-level professionals or those in the early stages of their career.
• Experience: Up to 2 years of accounting experience, which may include internships; working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong attention to detail, effective organizational skills, and clear communication abilities for team collaboration.
• Bonus: Demonstrated interest in learning, developing accounting expertise, and growing in a corporate accounting role.
