The Tone:
This is a full-time, paid hybrid internship at Westinghouse Electric Company, located in Cranberry Township, PA, scheduled for the summer months of May through August 2027. • Pay: $23–$26.3 hourly
• Team: A global Accounts Payable team that collaborates with departments such as supply chain, vendor maintenance, business reporting and analytics, and other GFSS departments. You will report directly to the Accounts Payable Lead.
• Mission: This person will contribute to the essential accounts payable process, supporting the completion of purchases with vendors and ensuring efficient financial operations for a global energy solutions provider.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn accruals: Gain understanding and practical experience with month-end accruals processes.
• Review inquiries: Handle and process inquiries from various stakeholders related to accounts payable matters.
• Validate invoices: Accurately match and validate invoices against corresponding purchase orders to ensure correctness.
• Reconcile invoices: Perform detailed reconciliation of invoices to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
• Capture data: Efficiently capture and input invoice data into the relevant systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This position is suitable for candidates currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as accounting or finance.
• Experience: Applicants must have successfully completed their sophomore year of college studies.
• Skills: Demonstrated interest in financial processes, attention to detail for invoice matching and data capture, and an aptitude for learning accounting procedures like month-end accruals.
