Accounting Associate | Universal Pure

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Universal Pure, located in an office environment. Universal Pure operates facilities that process, pack, and store products, with a preference for accounting professionals experienced in the food industry. This position is critical for ensuring the company’s financial obligations from customers are met accurately and on time. The Accounting Associate maintains strong relationships with customers and site General Managers, ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s financial processes by managing the inflow of funds.

• Mission: Process, verify, and reconcile invoices, ensuring all revenue is recorded in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Tech Stack: WMS, NetSuite (preferred)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contract Analysis: Analyze contracts to determine the appropriate treatment for revenue recognition.
• Invoice Processing: Complete customer invoices by processing them in the WMS, verifying details, and reconciling them accurately.
• Fund Application: Apply incoming funds to outstanding invoices, investigate any discrepancies, and resolve issues directly with customers.
• Performance Reporting: Provide monthly reports to site General Managers detailing revenue and profitability metrics.
• Audit Support: Assist with financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Previous revenue experience is preferred.
• Skills: Attention to detail, high volume billing proficiency, financial reporting accuracy, accounting principles, and contract analysis.
• Bonus: Food Industry Accounting preferred, previous experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
