Accounts Payable / Receivable – Intermodal | Forward Air Corporation

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Provide assistance for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), billing, settlements, credit, and collections activities as business needs require.
• Process: Accurately process financial transactions in compliance with established procedures, internal controls, and company policies.
• Review: Examine invoices, storage bills, toll-related charges, and other operational expenses for accuracy and completeness.
• Resolve: Communicate with terminals, operations teams, customers, and vendors to research and resolve billing, payment, toll, storage, and account-related issues.
• Maintain: Organize and maintain records, documentation, and audit support files across all supported financial functions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with a high school diploma or GED equivalent, focused on accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting support.
• Experience: One or more years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, settlements, shared services, customer service, or transportation administration.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines, effective verbal and written communication, basic analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft O365 and web conferencing tools.
• Bonus: An undergraduate degree in a related field, relevant certifications in accounting or bookkeeping, experience with ERP or transportation management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), or prior experience in the transportation, trucking, logistics, intermodal, or freight industry.
