Junior Accountant | ACC Recruiters

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Processing: Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including processing invoices, payments, and customer transactions.
• Journal Entry & Record Keeping: Prepare and post routine journal entries under direction, and maintain accurate accounting records with supporting documentation, both electronic and paper.
• Reconciliation & Discrepancy Resolution: Perform account and bank reconciliations, research discrepancies, and resolve routine accounting questions by communicating with internal and external contacts.
• Financial Reporting & Closing Support: Support the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and account analyses, alongside assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Audit & Project Support: Assist with audit requests by providing necessary documentation and support process improvements and other assigned accounting projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; this is an entry-level position for a recent college graduate with a foundational understanding of accounting principles and practices, including familiarity with debits, credits, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Experience: Up to 2 years of prior accounting experience, or a recent college graduate. Required proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, good analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities, and clear written and verbal communication. Ability to work collaboratively and ask clarifying questions is also essential.
• Bonus: Experience with an accounting or ERP system, gained through coursework, an internship, or prior employment.
