This Junior Cash Application Specialist role is a key part of the Accounts Receivable team, ensuring incoming payments are accurately applied to customer accounts, which is fundamental to the company’s financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Payment Application: Process and accurately apply incoming payments, including bank transfers and credit cards, to the correct customer accounts.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Help identify and resolve any payment discrepancies or unmatched transactions to ensure financial accuracy.
• Financial Reporting: Assist with daily reporting of cash received and provide support for month-end reconciliation activities.
• Data Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account data within Excel and various internal systems.
• Internal Communication: Support communication efforts with internal departments, such as Treasury and Sales, regarding payment queries.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with some experience in a finance, administrative, or customer service capacity.
• Experience: Prior experience can include internships or work placements.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, comfortable using Excel, a proactive and collaborative attitude, and good communication skills.
• Bonus: Basic understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of SAP.
