• Team: Gross Margin team, supporting assigned subsidiary(s), reporting to a manager.
• Mission: Support the accounting and financial reporting of gross margin, including revenue and cost of goods sold, and ensure the integrity of related balance sheet accounts, contributing to accurate and efficient financial reporting through analytical research and process improvements.
• Tech Stack: ERP/Accounting System, Microsoft Office Suite.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entry Preparation: Prepare routine journal entries into the ERP/Accounting System, ensuring adherence to the company’s high documentation standards and prescribed policies.
• General Ledger Interfacing: Perform weekly general ledger interfacing tasks, which includes formatting and accurately reconciling reports to maintain data consistency.
• Account Reconciliation: Prepare and complete assigned balance sheet account reconciliations in a timely manner, rigorously following established account reconciliation guidelines.
• Subledger Schedule Maintenance: Maintain various system subledger schedules, such as those for leases, fixed assets, and prepaids, as specifically assigned.
• General Ledger Monitoring: Monitor specific general ledger accounts and vendor activity to identify and implement adjustments, thereby supporting the data integrity and accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Audit Request Support: Provide comprehensive data compilation support for internal and external audit requests, facilitating a smooth and efficient audit process.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to research variances, resolve accounting issues, and actively contribute to process improvements that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold an undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree in a relevant field.
• Experience: Possess 0+ years of professional accounting experience, marking this as an entry-level career opportunity.
• Skills: Demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, along with being detail-oriented and analytical. The candidate should also be eager to develop a strong understanding of gross margin accounting.
