Sr. Engineer II- Production | Microchip Technology

The Tone:

This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and quality of the assembly processes in IC manufacturing, directly contributing to the company’s targets for product yield and customer satisfaction.

• Mission: Owns the optimization and improvement of assembly processes to meet company targets for yield, quality, and productivity.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Formulation: Formulate and review specifications and procedures for assembly processes.
• Equipment Management: Install, characterize, optimize, and maintain assembly equipment in the best condition.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement and develop continuous improvement plans to enhance assembly yield, quality, productivity, and cycle time.
• Defect Analysis: Analyze and evaluate the root cause of defects and deviations, then develop corrective actions and standard procedures to prevent recurrence.
• Quality Control: Apply SPC techniques for monitoring and optimizing assembly processes and incoming quality control (IQC) to ensure product quality.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science in any field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of working experience in IC manufacturing.
• Skills: Good command of English communication, proficient computer skills, strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.
