The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person Tyler, TX
• Mission: To provide accounting and administrative support across various accounting functions.
• Tech Stack: Windows Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile: Reconcile bank accounts as assigned to ensure accuracy.
• Process Payments: Post, print, and obtain signatures on checks as assigned.
• Maintain Records: Keep accurate image records of all items posted to the General Ledger.
• Generate Reports: Run General Ledger Account schedules on a monthly basis.
• Manage Documents: Scan, e-file, and verify the completeness of documents as necessary, and transport items to the bank or CPA office when needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level candidate currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in accounting.
• Experience: Completion of a minimum of 9 hours of basic and intermediate accounting, including Intermediate Accounting I & II.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking, detail-oriented, organized, ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, proficiency in Windows Office Suite (Excel and Word), and effective written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: Classification as a Senior in the current degree plan.
