Staff Accountant | Truity Partners

The Staff Accountant will be a pivotal contributor to the accounting department, managing crucial daily financial operations and playing a key part in the improvement of essential accounting processes. What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Cash Operations: Efficiently manage all daily cash activities, including the precise recording of incoming receipts and customer payments, and execute thorough bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Accounts Receivable Management: Provide comprehensive support to Accounts Receivable functions, which involves accurate cash application, proactive collection efforts to maintain healthy cash flow, and diligent monitoring of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
• Month-End Close Contributions: Actively assist in the critical month-end close process, preparing detailed journal entries and completing accurate balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial statements are ready on time.
• Merger & Acquisition Accounting Support: Offer essential accounting support for strategic merger and acquisition activities as they arise, integrating new financial data and processes efficiently.
• Process Improvement & Key Projects: Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, such as optimizing credit card processing for online sales platforms like the company website and Amazon. Additionally, support key organizational projects including ERP system transitions, banking changes, and provide crucial assistance for audit and tax preparations, alongside handling various ad hoc requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, providing a foundational understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience: Possess a minimum of 1 year of related accounting experience, demonstrating practical application of financial responsibilities.
• Skills: Exhibit strong proficiency in Excel for financial data analysis and reporting, excellent communication skills for effective internal and external interactions, and a high attention to detail for ensuring accuracy in all financial records. This role also requires being highly organized, dependable, and capable of working independently to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Bonus: Preferred candidates will have prior experience in cost accounting, adding specialized knowledge to the team.
