Financial Accounting Intern | Arconic
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Arconic, located in Pittsburgh, PA. Arconic Corporation is a leading provider of aluminum sheet, plate, and extrusions, as well as innovative architectural products, serving the automotive, aerospace, commercial transportation, industrial, and building and construction markets. This role introduces students to Arconic’s financial operations through a challenging and rewarding experience that covers the monthly closing process, financial statement review, policy approvals, and accounting reviews of specific transactions, offering a foundational understanding of corporate financial accounting.

• Mission: To support corporate financial accounting processes, external filings, analysis, and policy maintenance within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assisting: Assist with the preparation and review of external financial filings.
• Analyzing: Analyze monthly financial results and summarize findings for review by senior management.
• Preparing: Prepare ad hoc analysis as requested to support Corporate Financial Accounting projects.
• Maintaining: Provide oversight, maintain, and update the Arconic accounting policy manual.
• Managing: Manage ongoing relationships with personnel within the Business Units and Resource Units.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration/Management. Entry-Level.
• Experience: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• Skills: Strong team and analytical skills, effective communication, ability to understand complex business issues, proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office environments.
