Senior Insurance AI Solutions Consultant | Milliman
The Tone:
This is a hybrid role out of Milliman’s Paris office. Milliman established its AI Solutions practice to embrace the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, enhancing operational efficiency and delivering innovative client solutions. This role is crucial for establishing and refining the business engagement and engineering capability within this new practice, responding to increasing demand for AI transformation services. The consultant will bridge expert workflow redesign, AI solution co-design, and implementation readiness to deliver tangible business value.

• Pay: €59,400–€98,000 yearly
• Team: Milliman AI Solutions practice
• Mission: Establish and refine the business engagement and engineering capability within the AI Solutions practice to respond to increasing demand for AI transformation services.
• Tech Stack: Enterprise AI tool ecosystems, approved generative AI tools, knowledge assistants, agentic workflow platforms, document intelligence capabilities, LLMs, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage with Clients: Support internal and external clients in responding to increasing demand for AI transformation, from early opportunity shaping through diagnostic workshops and proposal development.
• Translate Business Needs: Convert client strategic priorities, target operating models, and workflow pain points into actionable AI transformation roadmaps, use case portfolios, and implementation pathways.
• Map and Redesign Workflows: Map current-state insurance workflows and redesign target workflows around AI-enabled delivery, capturing expert knowledge into AI-ready artifacts.
• Co-design AI Solutions: Collaborate with business experts, AI engineers, and product owners to co-design practical AI-enabled solutions grounded in real workflows and implementation constraints.
• Advise on AI Tools: Advise clients and internal teams on the effective use of enterprise AI tool ecosystems, defining requirements, success measures, and handoff materials for AI implementation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related quantitative or business field. This is a senior role requiring insurance domain understanding, business consulting skills, and applied AI fluency.
• Experience: 6–8 years of relevant professional experience in insurance, actuarial consulting, business transformation, operations, data management, or technology-enabled consulting. Experience supporting business development, proposal writing, client workshops, solution scoping, or transformation roadmap development is also required.
• Skills: Strong understanding of insurance workflows for mapping and optimization; ability to collaborate with domain experts, AI engineers, and Technology teams on requirements; practical understanding of enterprise AI tool ecosystems; working fluency with Generative AI and agentic systems, including LLMs, prompt design, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Bonus: Entrepreneurial mindset, structured problem-solving skills, commercial awareness, and a willingness to build a new capability within a fast-evolving AI Solutions practice.
