• Mission: This intern supports critical tax compliance and audit processes by assisting with the preparation of tax returns, filing estimates, responding to notices, and conducting research, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of federal, state, and local tax obligations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Return Preparation Support: Assist with the preparation of approximately 1,400 Federal, State, and Local Tax Returns for insurance and non-insurance U.S. companies.
• Estimate Filings: Assist with the calculation and filing of quarterly State and Local Estimates.
• Tax Notice Resolution: Assist with responses to State & Local notices received by the tax department.
• Audit Assistance: Provide support and assistance on Tax Audits.
• Tax Research: Assist with research of important tax issues as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: Required GPA of 3.0 or above. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the U.S. without need for current or future employment-based sponsorship.
• Skills: Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Bonus: Preferred prior work experience, including but not limited to summer jobs, part-time roles, or internships. Preferred leadership experience, including but not limited to work, involvement in community service, athletics, clubs, or other activities. Helpful Tax and Treasury experience.
