What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare various tax returns: Assist in the preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns for diverse clients.
• Conduct tax research: Perform research to stay informed on current tax laws and regulations, applying findings to relevant client situations.
• Reconcile client accounts: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate on a group project: Participate in a collaborative group project with other interns, culminating in a presentation at the end of the internship.
• Participate in client meetings: Attend client meetings alongside YHB managers, observing professional interactions and gaining insight into client relationships.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Successful completion of Intermediate Accounting 1 coursework and a foundational grasp of tax principles and accounting practices are essential for this role.
• Experience: No prior professional tax or accounting experience is required; this internship is designed for individuals seeking their first practical exposure in the field.
• Skills: Demonstrated effective time management and problem-solving abilities, along with strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
