The Tone:
This is a tax internship at Forvis Mazars US, located in Philadelphia, PA. This role is crucial for developing future professionals, offering hands-on experience on client engagements and exposure to a variety of industries. Interns will learn from senior staff and management, refining their skills and gaining clarity on potential career paths in public accounting.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time, Part-time (Winter semester)
• Location: In-person Philadelphia, PA
• Mission: Gain valuable public accounting experience by working on client engagements and learning from seasoned professionals to inform future career decisions in audit or tax.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office suite

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconciliation: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns.
• Payment Calculation: Calculate tax extension or estimate payments.
• Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Working toward an accounting degree and CPA licensure eligibility. Entry-Level.
• Experience: Entry-level experience with solid technical accounting knowledge.
• Skills: Effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with a team as well as independently, close attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure and against deadlines.
• Bonus: Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite.
