The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Motorola Solutions, located remotely. Motorola Solutions builds and connects technologies to help keep people safer everywhere, delivering solutions for emergency communications, video and evidence processing, and cutting-edge AI-driven analytics. This role is a critical, high-impact leadership position focused on defining and driving the strategy for our core Computer Vision Platform, ensuring our AI investments translate into quantifiable, improved customer and business outcomes for a safer future.

• Mission: This person will define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and measurable success of the core Computer Vision Platform, transforming ambiguous concepts into enterprise-scale solutions.
• Tech Stack: Enterprise-scale cloud and edge AI platforms, central AI models, foundational AI infrastructure, model serving, data pipelines, APIs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Platform Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Computer Vision Platform, ensuring alignment with Motorola Solutions’ overall product portfolio and strategic business goals.
• Internal Partner Management & Alignment: Serve as the primary product leader for the platform, engaging with internal product teams to understand their computer vision needs and drive adoption of platform services.
• Product Definition & Requirements: Author high-quality Market Requirements Documents (MRDs), Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), and user stories for core platform capabilities and select end-to-end computer vision products.
• AI Model Lifecycle Ownership: Own the product lifecycle for central, reusable computer vision models and foundational AI infrastructure, from ideation through deployment, adoption, and deprecation.
• Platform Success Metrics: Define, implement, and track key business, customer, and technical metrics to measure the success and health of the platform and drive continuous improvement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Principal-level product management professional with a deep understanding of computer vision, machine learning, machine learning lifecycle (MLOps), data platforms, and the challenges of deploying reusable AI infrastructure.
• Experience: 10+ years of product management experience, specifically with platform products, AI/ML, or complex, cross-functional technical domains, demonstrating proven experience defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
• Skills: Expertise in defining and implementing metrics frameworks (KPIs, OKRs) to measure product success, strong analytical skills (AI performance metrics, real-time video processing, inference optimization), and the ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex technical and strategic concepts clearly.
• Bonus: Experience in public safety, security-focused software, mission-critical systems, emergency communications, or demonstrating pathfinding capabilities by bringing initial definition to highly ambiguous product concepts.
