What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Compliance: Conduct audits of client company financials to ensure compliance with GAPP and other accounting standards.
• Methodology Support: Assist with determining appropriate audit methodology for client engagements.
• Risk Assessment: Support the performance of risk assessments for client companies.
• Transaction Verification: Examine records to ensure proper recording and authorization of transactions, compliance with policies, and applicable laws.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports of audit findings and recommendations for client companies, and contribute to compilation, review, and audit engagements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level intern currently enrolled in an accounting, finance, or related curriculum at the junior level or higher. Candidates should be on track to graduate by December 2029 or earlier.
• Experience: Availability to commit to a minimum 25+ hour work week for the 8-week duration of the in-person internship.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of accounting standards such as GAPP, meticulous examination of financial records, and an aptitude for compliance procedures.
• Bonus: A strong commitment to professional growth demonstrated by plans to pursue CPA licensure.
