The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Tyler, TX

• Mission: To provide crucial accounting and administrative support across all areas of the accounting department.
• Tech Stack: Windows Office Suite, Excel, Word

What You’ll Actually Do
• Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile assigned bank accounts accurately.
• Payment Processing: Post, print, and obtain signatures for checks as directed.
• Record & Document Management: Maintain accurate image records for General Ledger postings, and scan, e-file, and verify documents.
• Financial Reporting Support: Generate monthly schedules for General Ledger accounts.
• Administrative Assistance: Perform various assigned accounting and administrative tasks, including transporting items to the bank or CPA office.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in accounting. This is an Entry-Level role.
• Experience: Completion of Intermediate Accounting I & II, including a minimum of 9 hours in basic and intermediate accounting.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking skills, detail-oriented, organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines, proficient in Windows Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word), effective written and verbal communication, and a licensed driver with a compliant motor vehicle record.
• Bonus: Classification as a Senior in the current degree plan.
