Engineering Leadership Program Engineer (Class of 2027) | General Dynamics Mission Systems

This is an early career leadership program at General Dynamics Mission Systems, located in McLeansville, NC, with hybrid work options. • Mission: To develop future engineering leaders who can contribute to national security missions through diverse rotations and advanced education.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotate: Rotate within several different disciplines including your major, Systems Engineering, Business Development, Internal Research and Development (IRAD), and other areas of interest that you select.
• Educate: Complete a technical master’s degree while participating in the program.
• Develop: Undergo internal training and establish a strong professional network.
• Engage: Be involved in community engagement activities.
• Innovate: Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation within your rotations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical (Analog), Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• Experience: Previous internship or project work in your discipline and demonstrated leadership experience. Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
• Skills: Strong technical background; demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, communicate effectively, and work in a team environment; strong interpersonal skills.
• Bonus: GPA of at least 3.2 (3.6 preferred), a passion for supporting those who serve, learning and applying new concepts, and community involvement.
